Although he didn’t release a project last year, Joey Bada$$ was anything but stagnant in 2016.

On top of touring the world with ScHoolboy Q, the Pro Era emcee kept busy by killing countless freestyles, putting his acting chops to work on Mr. Robot, beefing with Troy Ave and lacing tracks with Statik Selektah (“Brooklyn’s Own“), Your Old Droog & Styles P (“Just Rhymin“), Maxo Kream (“1998“), and Jim Jones (“Lost Ones“). He even scored his first gold plaque with “Devastated.’

On the eve of his 22nd birthday (which, unfortunately, is the same day of Donald Trump’s inauguration), Joey Bada$$ returns with his new single, “Land Of The Free.”

Produced by Kirk Knight and Adam Pallin, the timely record finds Joey addressing the current state of affairs — from the impending Trumpocalypse to the senseless murders of blacks in AmeriKKKa.
