With Do What Thou Wilt still in rotation, Ab-Soul returns with the project’s sixth video.
Directed by Yellow Nguyen and TDE’s Moosa, the clip finds Soul visiting his childhood home (which recently burned down) trying to figure out the complexities of life, before heading to Alori Joh’s gravesite to spend some time with his former lover and best friend, who ended up taking her own life in 2012.
“That was my first time visiting her since the ceremony. My idea was that I’d bring the world with me this time,” Soul told GQ. “She was the world to me. I’ve been told “You make the world better,” and now I know what it feels like to have the world taken from me. I can attest to that. So that was an opportunity for me to come back and show her what we’ve done, what we’ve created. Everybody gets to experience that with me in a sense.”
