DeJ Loaf and Cash Money signee Jacquees just announced a joint mixtape — Fuck A Friend Zone — that’s set to drop this Friday. They also shared the intimate first single, “Deeper,” via The FADER.
“I ain’t never went in the studio with nobody and created a vibe like this,” Jacquees said in an email to The FADER. “The music we created is that real feel good music.”
“Deeper” is a routine, relaxed R&B song as the two sing about falling in love, something that obviously influenced the project’s title.
“As an artist, it’s often rare but always refreshing to go into the studio with another creative and have great energy,” DeJ Loaf said. “I’ve watched Jacquees grow as an artist and I’m excited to collaborate with him on this project.”
