The aptly named Oakland singer 1-O.A.K. returns today with “Lost & Found,” a single off his upcoming Riding In Cars With Girls album.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Oak shares the video for the song’s intimate nature, which sees the singer waiting a lifetime to find where he needs to be — the warm embrace of his newfound woman.
“I’m always inspired by personal experiences,” 1-O.A.K. told The FADER, who premiered the video. “For ‘Lost & Found’ it was meeting a girl after what felt like a century of being alone. I guess I was just high on the feeling of excitement of being in love again.” As for his upcoming Riding In Cars With Girls album, 1-O.A.K. says the project “feels like a man trying to find himself through the experiences he has and the choices he makes with women.”
The video sees Oak waiting in a line all around the Bay Area to meet The One, which he ultimately does by the time the video comes to a close.
