In the middle of Phay‘s Mama album landed “Immigrant Song,” a quick-hitting onslaught about Phay’s immigrant roots and how they came into (and have since been in) question since September 11.
For the video, the Atlanta native stares dead into the camera as illustrations of his words, like a denied passport when he says his citizenship seems like it’s no longer relevant, flash across his black-and-white silhouette.
“Immigrant Song” samples Pusha T’s “S.N.I.T.C.H.” and it lands on Mama, which you can hear below.
