Bambu – “Prey’er” (Video)

Late last year, Los Angeles native gunner Bambu, unbeknownst to most of the rap world, released a new album titled Prey For The Devil.

The 10-track project was launched and promoted at a grassroots level, with Bam and the rest of the Beatrock Music crew forgoing the traditional means of marketing his music, ie. blogs and large PR campaigns — which helped Bam calculate his true fanbase.

Since the September 2016 release of Prey For The Devil, the always-illuminating Bam delivered one visual, the minimally-shot “Info Trip” featuring Mark De Clive-Lowe.

A couple of months later, Bambu continues the head-on charge into political corruption, systematic targeting of PoC and police brutality as the world keeps shattering under President Agent Orange‘s strong-arm and iron fist — taking his voice of reason to his motherland.

The Filmonita-directed video for “Prey’er” — the fourth track of Prey For the Devil — was shot on location in the Philippines, and after a brief intro from Killer Mike (portrayed by Gon Borela) urging him to talk his sh*t for “Black People, Brown People, Yellow People, Beige People, for poor People, for the working class…” Bam (portrayed by Allen Jordan) vehemently attacks our white oppressors from the top down, comparing the new administration regime to the New Neo-Nazi party, while also lamenting on the plight People of Color, including those in the Philippines suffer on a daily basis.
