It’s been three-and-a-half years since Lorde released her debut album, Pure Heroine. She hasn’t been absent from the music world, though, working with Disclosure and The Hunger Games soundtrack bridging the gap between her freshman and sophomore albums.
Her next project, Melodrama, isn’t set to arrive until June 15, but she gets the ball rolling today with her first new song since 2014, “Green Light.” It’s an electric and upbeat effort that sees Lorde working with Jack Antonoff as opposed to Joel Little, the producer of her first couple projects. The shift in sound is noticeable.
