As stated in the latest installment of our Weekly Dope playlist, New York City has been on absolute fire the past week or so, and it seems there’s a heavy interest in returning the sound of the Rotten Apple to its core roots. As Lauryn Hill once wisely stated: “Seasons change, mad things rearrange.”

Enter Sean Scott.

Born in Atlanta but raised in New York, the heavily buzzing Honor Roll student is ready to roll out ScottSZN, choosing to rely on strictly grassroots-styled promotion and for the most part, shying away from major media coverage, as proven by his previous video release for “Can’t Nobody Touch Us.”

To celebrate the video amassing over 50K views in just a couple of short months, Sean decided to put his own twist on N.O.R.E.‘s 1998 Swizz Beatz-produced street classic “Banned from T.V.” which also featured Big Pun, Nature, Jadakiss, Styles P and Cam’ron — with an official cosign from the man himself.

Listen to Sean destroy and rebuild, plus watch his video for “Can’t Nobody Touch Us” below. Look out for ScottSZN later this year.
