King Magnetic – “I’ll Show You” f. Cappadonna & Dink

For the past few years, Allentown, PA’s King Magnetic has been careful not to flood the market with too much music, making it a priority to release top-shelf material only, and his track record speaks volumes.

The Army of the Pharaohs emcee has wrecked beats from Marco Polo, DJ Premier and 9th Wonder, and on March 31st, King Mag will release EH4AR, the follow up to 2015’s Timing Is Everything.

On “I’ll Show You,” King Mag hits the avenue, playing a vital role of a surrogate reporter for the streets as he broadcasts his thoughts on the current issues that are tormenting the inner cities, while Wu-Tang Clan’s Cappadonna picks apart corrupt politics: “Why my attitude feel negative / Athletes held at higher standards than detectives is / Why we spend more on military jets then we do for our military vets,” held together by Dink’s soulful chorus and French producer Astronote’s (Kendrick Lamar, Blu, Talib Kweli) smooth soundscape.
