Puff Daddy, the founder and leader of Bad Boy Records, recently developed and produced a film documenting the history of his record label called Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: The Bad Boy Story. With its widespread release set to arrive sometime this year, what better place to premiere the documentary than the triangle below Canal Street?

Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop will gets its official release at the Tribeca film festival, which runs in the last couple weeks of April (the 19th to the 30th).

“Tribeca brings the biggest names in entertainment and culture together with visionaries from across industries to celebrate the power of storytelling. There is no better place to share the story behind the Bad Boy movement and this unprecedented musical event,” Diddy said in an official statement to Billboard.

The documentary will cover the record label’s history as well as the Bad Boy reunion in Brooklyn last year.

Today is the 20th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’s death, and even though we’ll be celebrating his music all day long, it didn’t feel right to type up a post about Bad Boy and not mention that. Here’s my favorite Biggie song.
