With his long-awaited debut, No Dope On Sunday, set to arrive sometime this summer, CyHi the Prynce kicked things off last month sharing a pair of singles: “Legend” and “Nu Africa.”

Today, he shares a video for the latter—which comes equipped with a bonus spoken word performance at the end, courtesy of Ernestine Johnson.

It opens with an innocent young man running away from the police, a frequent occurrence in modern America. As he sprints away, peaceful protests around the city become the backdrop to CyHi’s politically and racially charged lyrics. Finally, as the community starts to assemble at the party to embrace their roots and each other, you can hear CyHi staunchly exclaim, “Tell the Motherland that a n***a coming back for her.”
