While much of its bordering states are notably known for its infatuation with the far-reaching sounds of the trap, North Carolina has always been grounded in forward-thinking, conscious Hip-Hop, giving rise to artists such as Little Brother, King Mez, Rapsody and DopeHouse favorite SkyBlew.

After creeping onto our radars last year, 2Dope To Sleep On alumnus Erick Lottary is next up to expand the lineage of North Carolina’s most gifted emcees, showing and proving himself with his flip of Pusha T and JAY Z’s “Drug Dealers Anonymous” and his Hold Please EP which closed off 2016 in proper fashion.

After offering the world his personal take on Isaiah Rashad’s “Wat’s Wrong” (including an official video), the Home Skool artist returns with “Nothing To Lose,” this time flipping Logic’s “44 Bars” off Bobby Tarantino.
