Eschewing the normal five-minute limit that he gave Scram Jones, DJ Fatfingaz and Statik Selektah, Funk Flex let Just Blaze to run roughshod during his “5 Minutes Of Funk” segment.
Spinning a mixture of break beats, roller-skating jams and funk classics, Just goes off for nearly 12 minutes, the longest session thus far in Funk Flex and Hot 97’s deejay freestyle series. This made me run back his epic Abstract Radio set from 2015 (which we’re still waiting on a sequel for, mind you).
