In the middle of her Telefone tour, Noname stopped by the NPR offices in Washington, D.C. to perform cuts from her tour’s titular album.
Starting with “Diddy Bop,” which originally features Raury, the Chicago native also performs a medley of “Reality Check,” “Casket Pretty” and “Bye Bye Baby,” all which landed on Telefone, and “Yesterday.” She was backed by a four-piece band that she’s touring with right now.
