“I’ve been crying in the rain just to blend it in.”

Having wrapped up a successful week performing at SXSW last month, Kris Kasanova refocuses his time and energy into the one therapeutic outlet he truly knows best: music.

Over the course of the past four months, the Red Hook, Brooklyn native has delivered his own reimagining of ScHoolboy Q’s “Tookie Knows,” Daniel Caesar’s “Get You,” and Solange’s “Weary” before hitting us with new EP, Always Something.

Today, the Home Skool artist/principal delivers a black-and-white visual for the EP’s title track, shot by his brother TrifeDrew and produced by Irate G Beatz. From dealing with personal tragedies such as the death of his cousin, to trying to manage and mend a relationship on the fritz, the weight on Kris’ shoulders only seems to multiply each day — relying on just a pad, pen and a booth to boldly spill his emotions burdens.
