Robert Glasper dropped one of the better non-rap albums last year, a tribute album to Miles Davis called Everything’s Beautiful that was released alongside the musician’s biopic. Then he doubled-down alongside the Robert Glasper Experience with ArtScience a couple months later.
With no signs of slowing down, Glasper re-appears with “The Cross,” a collaboration with Common and Lianne La Havas (there’s a name I haven’t heard in a while), co-written by Karriem Riggins. The song is featured in the soundtrack for Burning Sands, a Netflix documentary about the dangers surrounding hazing in college fraternities.
