There are no bounds of television The Roots can’t go.

After dominating the late-night realm as the house band for Jimmy Fallon over the last eight years, The Legendary Roots Crew will head to the early morning hours producing two children’s shows for Amazon.

One of the shows is an animated series with the working title of South Street Sounds and will feature music from The Roots.

The show “follows three friends growing up in the most musical of neighborhoods, where the birds tweet to a beat, every shop-keeper, pizza-maker and crossing guard dance perfectly in time, and having a bad day means literally singing the blues,” according to Deadline. “With such musical surroundings, it’s only natural that these three friends have formed a band called “South Street.'”

The show, along with another live-action children’s show, will be produced by Passyunk Productions company and executive produced by Black Thought, Questlove, their manager and Brian Sher.

“As we venture into the world that is film and television production, we couldn’t think of a better partner than Amazon to help us develop these first two children’s projects,” Questlove said.

There’s no word one when these series are expected to air. Sorry, hip-hop parents.
