Ali Vegas – “Masterpeace” (Video)

blame it on JES7 April 15, 2017

Once heralded as the most promising and exciting rappers to come out of Queens, New York during the late 90s and early naughts, the flame on Ali Vegas‘ buzz eventually seemed to fizzle out. Although some signs seem to point at his “failing career” being attributed to being blackballed from the industry by Nas, and possibly DJ Clue, (his words), we’ll never truly know why the talented lyricist never achieved the acclaim he rightfully deserved.

Still, the show must go on, and The Specialist continues to prove the stripes he’s earned are real. Following the release of his 2015 God Bless the Child album, the Queens emcee returned in the new year with “What NY Sound Like” alongside Reek Da Villain as The William Brothers.

While there are no reports of a new project on the way, Ali reenters in 2017 with his first solo outing: a visual for his Vic Orena (Little Vic) produced banger “Masterpeace.”

Watch it up top.
