Although reared in Pittsburgh, PA, Tairey’s (pronounced Ty-Ray) debut album Dreamworld is a woven tapestry that dips into every city he’s stepped foot in during the recording process, including Los Angeles and Houston—the latter being a pretty significant influence. But most of Dreamworld was recorded in The ‘Burgh, mainly at the storied ID Labs.
Largely produced by close friend and collaborator Sam Conturo, Dreamworld is exactly as it sounds: an exotic escape into a hazy, yet colorful world of sound, and although it’s far from “lyrical,” Tairey’s alluring charisma is enough to draw you into the experience.
