Chicago artist Ajani Jones makes his DopeHouse debut today with “Bliss,” the first song from his upcoming project Eternal Bliss out next month.

From the jump, Jones sounds like a blend of IshDARR and Goldlink as he bounces over the Blookah-produced beat about turning negative situation into positive thoughts and learning experiences. “Give thanks when I wake up regardless of the hardships that I’m facing,” Jones hums on the hook.

“The song is about seeing your downfalls and realizing that it doesn’t matter because of what you have,” Jones said over email. “Love is all we need and bliss is something we all experience. It’s an eternal thing and it’s all around us.”

Eternal Bliss will be released through AEMMP Records, a student-run record label based out of Columbia College in Chicago. The album is lined up for a May 12 release. Stream “Bliss” below.
