Perhaps stemming from his times hosting Saturday Night Live and ESPN’s ESPYs in 2014, Drake has been tapped to host the inaugural NBA Awards (as reported by ESPN).
The show will air on TNT on Monday, June 26th, following the conclusion of the 2017 NBA Finals. Similar to The NFL Honors, trophies for the league’s MVP, Rookie Of The Year, Defensive Player Of The Year, Coach Of The Year and others will be presented. It is expected that performances — and likely some comical sketches — will happen as well.
