Wifisfuneral has always been upfront with his depression and subsequent drug use. While the content of his songs often run in that range, he’s shown an impressive talent to morph varying sounds around his morbid lyrics. His latest song, “2MG,” is further evidence.

“Watch me drop two milligrams of Xanax in my Sprite, yeah, dying just to live, but I’m fighting for my life, yeah,” he riddled on the hook of “2MG,” which sees him contrasting a life of growing success and darker thoughts.

“When I linked up with Wifi later at Audiomack Studios in New York and he asked for a left-field beat, this one came to mind,” producer TGUT told The FADER, who premiered the song. “I wasn’t producing the track for anyone specifically, but Wifi’s flow and delivery was exactly how I pictured the record sounding.”

“2MG” features Levi Carter and is the first song from an upcoming EP by streaming service Audiomack that will also feature Curren$y, Rich The Kid and others. Listen to “2MG” (via Audiomack, of course) below.
