As a Californian now living in New York, I’ve seen (and experienced) this thing where either, after a cross-country excursion, a New Yorker will become instantly fascinated by Californian culture and vice versa. I should know personally; after my very first visit to Harlem, my iTunes experienced a superfluity of Dipset intake.
