Chaz French – “Miss You (Freestyle)”

blame it on JES7 April 29, 2017

Now comfortably seated in his new digs over at Motown, DC’s Chaz French is back, penning a personal memoir dedicated to his fans, friends, family and children in his “Miss You” freestyle video.

Backed by a sample of Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes’ “I Miss You,” the heartfelt loosie features cameos from his beloved seeds, mother and more while assuring fans that his absence was due to reinventing his brand, soul searching, dealing with personal and family issues and the responsibility of fatherhood.

As he shared with The Fader:

It’s been longer than my fans or I would have liked for me to give them some new songs and visuals. I just wanted to take this time to let you all know, that I missed you during this time apart. At the same time, through this process of chasing the vision, my time with my children has also become limited. Had do some soul searching to find the balance between Chaz the Dad and the rapper. Struggle what made us!
