When I first learned that Big Sean would be hitting the stage to perform “Jump Out The Window” during the 2017 MTV Movie Awards this evening, I definitely thought he was going to make a big spectacle out of the song and literally jump out of a window. You know, with safety measures in place of course. Boy was I disappointed.
Still, Sean Don delivered an interesting performance of his I Decided single, and really, the only one worth tuning in for.
On top of his appearance at the awards show, Big Sean—who recently claimed a gold plaque for I Decided—shared the official video for the single. Directed by Lawrence Lamont, the visual finds Sean encountering a glitch in the matrix as he’s suddenly shifted into a SNES-esque video game reality—with a goal of ultimately saving the girl from a villain with a Kim Jong-un-styled haircut. There all sorts of nods to some of your favorite video games, but still, no jumping out of any windows.
