B.o.B Takes You Through The ‘ETHER’ With New Album

Call this “The Curious Case of Bobby Ray Simmons.”

B.o.B has had a career that is as interesting as it is perplexing. One of XXL’s very first Freshman, he’s achieved Platinum success with singles like “Nothin’ on You” and “Airplanes” as well as his debut album The Adventures of Bobby Ray in 2010.

Lately, however, he’s taken a different route in his career, dropping his mixtape Psycadelik Thoughtz in 2015 with little to no promotion. And, being honest, his short-lived tiff with Neil deGrasse Tyson certainly didn’t help matters.

Alas, B.o.B has gotten back to the basics, releasing a steady stream of quality music. Following a fantastic voyage through the classical elements — dropping WATER, FIRE, EARTH and AIR mixtapes in a nine month span, before combining them for his ELEMENTS album — B.o.B kicked off the year with a string of solid singles.

He has now released his first independent album, ETHER. Driven by “4 Lit” with T.I. and Ty Dolla $ign, the album also boasts features from Lil Wayne (“E.T.“), Young Thug (“Xantastic“), Big K.R.I.T., Young Dro, Cee-Lo Green, Usher and more.

Check it out below and cop ETHER on iTunes.
