Talented Stones Throw producer and singer Gabriel Garzón-Montano makes his DopeHouse debut with a live performance off “Fruitflies” off his album Jardin released earlier this year.
You might’ve heard Garzón-Montano’s music before — his song “6 8” was sampled on Drake’s “Jungle.” Obviously more than just a suavely used sample, though, Garzón-Montano’s new project dives into his feelings of love and relationships while navigating trying to find success (whatever that is, exactly) as a first-generation American.
The production is bright, synth-heavy and soulful, and that’s brought to life on the song “Fruitflies,” which you can watch Garzón-Montano perform at Stones Throw Studios in Los Angeles below.
