Sylvan LaCue – “Grateful” (Video)

With Far From Familiar still in rotation around these parts, Sylvan LaCue is finally ready to deliver a proper follow-up.

This Fall, the Miami emcee will release Apologies In Advance, an album about becoming the best version of yourself and ignoring the detractors.

“As of right now, I’m looking to produce the entire thing myself. It’s still in its early stages and the album will be an ode to self improvement,” Sylvan says. “We all want a refresh button. A change. To upgrade. Self love, self improve. But we’re afraid of what we’ll reveal about ourselves. Where it’ll take us. What we’ll gain, and what we’ll leave behind. What our personal change will mean. This is me saying go forth, peel back your layers and flaws, accept them, and better yourself along the way. Be the best version of yourself. And to whom or whatever comes that may not accept it… Apologies in Advance.”

Not one to leave his fans empty handed while they wait, LaCue has also released a new video for “Grateful.”

“We shot this video in the middle in Northern California in my best friends old neighborhood of Seaside,” Lacue says about the video. “We felt the purpose was to showcase an honest and pure conversation with myself. I wrote this song as a reminder to everyone, including myself, that when the little things start to pile up, take a step back and remind yourself of what you’re grateful for.”
