Chuuuuuch!

During a recent episode of Dr. Dre’s The Pharmacy on Beats 1 Radio, Snoop Dogg made a revelation that may have caught more than a few people off guard.

“I’m working on a gospel album right now,” the Cali legend revealed. “It’s always been on my heart,” he continued. “I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business, or doing this or doing that. I just feel like it’s been on my heart too long and I need to do it now.”

Although the project seems to be in the early stages of development, Snoop seems to have already settled on a few ideas, saying “Me and Faith Evans, we talked about it heavily, because she feels like she wanna get down with me. And all of the people that I know, from Charlie Wilson to Jeffrey Osborne [of LTD]. Whoever I wanna get down with,” he added. “We gonna make it right. We gonna make it all the way right. It’s gon feel good.”

Snoop, who just released his sixteenth album Neva Left is fairly conversant when it comes to working with other genres, having dabbled in reggae (Reincarnated) and heavy funk (Bush and 7 Days of Funk with Dâm-Funk), so we’re pretty confident things will turn out just fine with this new project.
