Daylyt & WIllie B Release Joint Project, ‘Let There B Lyt’

blame it on Shake June 6, 2017

Daylyt and Willie B release a joint project, Let There B Lyt.

Although Daylyt may be most known for his wild antics on stage during rap battles (including, but not limited to dressing up like Batman, rubbing his nuts then wiping his hands on an opponent’s face, and even trying to take a sh*t on stage), his pen game is definitely not one to overlook. There’s a reason Ab-Soul praises him every chance he gets (and even ‘battled’ him at the end of his These Days… album) and emcees like Mickey Factz trade bars with him over Drake beats.

Then there’s Willie B, The Ichiban Don! An original member of TDE’s in-house production crew Digi+Phonics, the Left Coast producer has laced tracks for the likes of Kendrick Lamar (“Ignorance is Bliss”), Ab-Soul (“Huey Knew“), ScHoolboy Q (“Black Thoughts“), Freddie Gibbs (“Lay It Down”), J.I.D (“Bruuuh“), and plenty others.

Now, the Los Angeles natives have teamed up on a joint project. Daylyt’s first official release outside of the battle world and Willie’s first major collaboration, Let There B Lyt stands at eight tracks in length, with features from ChampionsOnly98 artists Mickey Taelor, J. Anthony and Chevy Jones.
