Here’s a funny story. Not “ha ha” funny, though.
Diplo had a song, “Bankroll, which originally featured Justin Bieber, Rich The Kid, and Young Thug.
Key word, however, being “had.” According to Thomas Wesley Pentz (that’s Diplo’s real name), he said that he had to do away with that version; apparently, “DJ Khaled and David Guetta other artists made SoundCloud take down the Justin Bieber version because they had exclusives with him.” In response, not only did the Mad Decent frontman let loose that version for free download, he then updates it by replacing Bieber with Rich Chigga.
This is the music industry, in 2017.
