Toronto singer Daniel Caesar‘s last single, the steamy and soulful “Get You,” has gotten hella play over the last couple months. Since introducing the single, Caesar had been mum on the music front as he presumably preps his debut album.
Thursday night, though, Caesar resurfaced with two new songs, “We Find Love” and “Blessed,” which were packaged together as a double-single and premiered on Ebro’s Beats 1 radio show.
Both songs are upfront, raw and emotional, largely driven by pianos, which are later met with a chorus of harmonies and drums. Their voices don’t sound similar, but I heard a bit of John Legend on “Blessed.” It’s got something to do with the flow and the songwriting.
