Toro Y Moi announced his new album, Boo Boo, his first since 2015’s What For? and Samantha projects, on Friday and shared the album’s first single, “Girl Like You,” in the form of a video.
The project’s name brings to mind “Boo Boo Mobile,” a song from Toro’s Samantha. The adorning theme of the first single draws shades from the head-over-heels nature of the aforementioned album, too, though plenty of Toro’s music deals with the chase of love.
Boo Boo is lined up for a July 7 release. Check out the first single’s video, directed by Mancy Grant, below.
