I’m gonna put it out there: why not make another The Firm album? Sure, it didn’t take off originally, but that’s because of the circumstances surrounding it (Nas being at a musical crossroads, suddenly replacing Cormega with Nature, Dr. Dre still struggling to stand on his own two with Aftermath Records). But in 2017, in an era of nostalgia-induced tours, songs, and albums? A follow-up to their 1997 self-titled debut isn’t entirely too much to ask.
In the meantime, fans can watch the video’s for AZ’ “Save Them,” featuring Raekwon and Prodigy. While The Firm 2 will likely never happen, AZ has been teasing Doe or Die 2 for many moons now; hopefully that does come sooner than later.
