Ice Cube celebrates his 48th birthday on June 15th, and he has received a surfeit of gifts in anticipation.

He celebrated the 25th anniversary of his sophomore album, Death Certificate, with a commemorative edition with three new and still-pertinent songs. He then went to Bill Maher’s television show and dropped several gems throughout the sit-down.

Now the multi-hyphenate received another present: his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Joining the likes of Diddy (in 2008), Queen Latifah (in 2006), Pharrell (in 2014) Pitbull and LL Cool J (both in 2016), Cube is only the sixth rapper to be bestowed with the honor.

Cube was joined by his parents Dr. Dre and WC during the ceremony.

“You don’t get here by yourself,” Cube said during his acceptance speech. “Today is not really about Ice Cube. It’s about all the people that helped me get here.”
