Brooklyn emcee Justo is gearing up to remind folks of why the borough he calls home is sometimes known as Brooklyn, Vietnam, with the upcoming release of his album Black Ops.
While the landscape has known to be changing through the rapid gentrification of the New York City borough, at its core, Brooklyn remains the same. A breeding ground for some of Hip-Hop’s nicest and hungriest emcees.
Black Ops will be produced entirely by Showbiz of D.I.T.C. (do yourself a favor and peep the free Show & A.G. EP Take It Back after watching the video), and to set things off, Justo hits us with a clip for “The Council.”
The Anthony Sneed-directed clip tips its hat to classic mafioso films, as Justo walks the halls of the esteemed and historical D.I.T.C. Studios, and sits at a roundtable with two legends: DJ Premier and DJ Vic Black of Gang Starr Foundation.
