On August 8th, exactly two years to the day that he sadly passed, Duck Down Records will posthumously release Sean Price‘s fourth studio album Imperius Rex. The news came as both shock and joy for fans of the gruff emcee, who has not dropped a full project since 2015’s Songs in the Key of Price mixtape.
August 8th will also see a quirky “release party” for Imperius Rex as well. Perhaps as a nod to price’s off-the-wall humor, the event will actually be a karaoke gong show in which participants will pull off their best Mic Tyson impersonation for a chance to win $1,000. No, seriously!
Sean Price’s daughter, Shaun Price, also has a message for her father’s fans as well.
