Who knew that a movie about women karaoke singing singing acapella would be a thing? If you told me that the Pitch Perfect film series would gross over $400 million and spawn a reality singing competition on television inspired by the film when it debuted in 2012, I would’ve heartily chortled in your face.
Alas, $400 million and a reality singing competition on television inspired by the film later, the movie will return for a third installment. Like its predecessors, Pitch Perfect 3 will feature a host of cameo appearances alongside series regulars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Ester Dean: Trinidad James was cast in the movie, and DJ Khaled will make a cameo also.
Shooting recently wrapped on the film, which is slated to hit theaters on December 22nd. No word on what, exactly, Trinidad or Khaled will do in the movie, but my guess is that it will be along the lines of Clay Matthews and Snoop Dogg‘s cameos in Pitch Perfect 2.
