Royce 5’9″ Drops ‘The Bar Exam 4’ Mixtape!

After peeling back the Layers of his soul on his latest full-length album, Royce 5’9″ went and built a studio in his home, and well… he’s been locked in there ever since.

Kicking off the year with bars over PHresher’s “Wait A Minute,” the Detroit emcee went on to run through Hov and Future’s “I Got The Keys.” The beats kept callin, though, so he then took ’em to war with another series of brutal bars.

From there, Royce started working on PRhyme 2 with DJ Premier, before bodying guest appearances on tracks with Conway (“iLL“), Consequence (“All Black Neighborhood“), Page Kennedy (“Testing Me” with King Los and Denaun Porter), and Kuniva (“Keep Calm” with Kid Vishis).

Now, with DJ Green Lantern at his side, Royce has returned with the long-awaited release of The Bar Exam 4. His first in the series since Vol. 3 in 2010.

Locked in at 28 tracks, including “Chopping Block” with Slaughterhouse, the fourth Bar Exam — which also features eLZhi, Nick GrantConway, Westside Gunncan — can be heard below.
