Phoelix – “Sirens”

Phoelix, a producer for the likes of Saba, Noname and Smino, returns to the DopeHouse with “Sirens,” a collaboration with hometown rapper Elton Aura.

It’s smokey, hazy and relaxed until both artists start rapping, where they come with an energy, backed largely by the sights, sounds and people of their native Fox Valley neighborhood, a suburb of Chicago.

“‘Sirens’ makes me feel proud,” Phoelix told Pigeons & Planes. “We don’t have a song like this that so adamantly puts on for the valley. We haven’t had an anthem until now and I feel like it’s only right that I did the song with E.”
