DJ Concept (of The Bash Brothers with DJ Mickey Knox) is just one of many artists who have taken time out of their busy schedules to put together tributes to Prodigy, who sadly passed away at the young age of 42.
The Long Island, New Yorker recently put together a 23-minute mix titled RIP Prodigy (A Live Mix of Dusty Infamous Originals), and as its name suggests, DJ Concept runs through a gamut of samples used throughout Mobb Deep‘s deep discography, including Ecstasy, Passion & Pain‘s “Born to Lose You” (“The Realest”), Barclay James Harvest‘s “Taking Me Higher” (“Get Away”), Angela Bofill‘s “Gotta Make It Up to You” (“You Can Never Feel My Pain”) and Edwin Starr‘s blaxploitation burner “Easin’ In” (“Mac 10 Handle”).
