Logic Launches Independent Record Label, ELYSIUM

blame it on JES7 July 1, 2017

Logic, who recently clutched his first number one album for his star-studded third LP Everbody, is rumored to be hanging up the microphone as a profession, if the rumors that Ultra 85 will be his last are proven to be true.

Even if that is the case, the proud Maryland-born rapper is keen on focusing on his stable of artists, including Damian Lemar Hudson, Big Lenbo, Jessica Andrea and John Lindahl by announcing the founding of a new, independent label called ELYSIUM (which alludes to the Elysian Fields, described as “the final resting place of the souls of the heroic and the virtuous in Greek mythology and religion”).

ELYSIUM, which was co-founded by long-time partner and friend Chris Zarou (who also runs Visionary Music Group) already have their eyes set for the imprint’s first release: Big Lenbo‘s debut album STRANGE DAYS, due out July 3.

“I wanted to create a place where [the artists] can feel free, and literally do whatever they want, because, you know, this is so much more than just music; it really is a family. So, many people that support me are gonna support these artists.”
