In the two years since Sevyn Streeter released her Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1, the Florida songstress started work on her debut, Girl Disrupted. But, as she states in the intro song, “Livin,” while nearing the wrapping of recording, she admits it was at that point that she went “through probably the most craziest shit [she] ever went through in [her] entire life.”
Conflicted about the direction she wanted to take with the project, she accidentally stumbled upon the title “Girl Disrupted.” Closing off her spoken word intro on “Livin,” Sevyn says “So this album for me is more than just music, it’s more than just music. Love, loyalty, and liberation. Girl Disrupted.”
After sharing the album’s lead single, “Fallen” with Ty Dolla $ign and Cam Wallace, Sevyn proudly unveils Girl Disrupted, recruiting help from DeJ Loaf, Dave East, August Alsina, Wiz Khalifa and Jeremih.
