Kanye West Says He And JAY-Z Are “Still Brothers”

blame it on Shake July 10, 2017

At the end of last month, JAY-Z took over the hip-hop world with the release of his 4:44 album. Drenched in personal rhymes, a few lines from “Kill JAY-Z” caused a series of headlines when Hov addressed Kanye West with the following bars:

But you ain’t a saint, this ain’t kumbaye
But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye
You gave him 20 million without blinkin’
He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?

Kanye has yet to respond himself, publicly. But thanks to 2 Chainz, who spent some family time with him last week, we’ve got a relayed message.

Sitting down with DJ Drama, 2 Chainz reveals Kanye said “we still brothers” when Big Brother Hov came up during their recent conversation.

They also spoke on today’s music climate, their families and how Kanye is back to producing himself — instead of playing director.

Speaking of Kanye and music, it’s being reported he recently invited Migos up to record.
