French Montana Plays By ‘Jungle Rules’ On New Album

French Montana hasn’t exactly had the best luck when it comes to album rollouts.

His major label debut, Excuse My French, was delayed almost a year after its hit single “Pop That” was released. Then its planned follow-up, MC4, went through multiple singles (“Lockjaw” with Kodak Black and “Figure It Out” with Kanye West and Nas, being the most notable) before being “delayed” then leaked by several Target(!) stores and ultimately canceled… before being released as a free mixtape.

Now, French has a Platinum hit single in “Unforgettable” with Swae Lee. Hoping to strike while the iron is hot — and avoid same issues that plagued Excuse My French and MC4 — French has released his formal sophomore album, Jungle Rules.

Like Excuse My French, it is another guest-heavy affair, with Chinx, Max B, The Weeknd, Pharrell, Quavo, Future, T.I., Young Thug, Travis Scott and others popping up throughout the 18 tracks. In fact, French only has six solo songs in total — just a third of the album.

On the production side of things, Harry Fraud, Ben Billions, Mike WiLL Made It, Murda Beatz, London On Da Track, Detail, Scott Storch and more help create a perfect soundwave for French to ride.
