Boogie Joins Soul Singer Niia On “California”

Boston-reared songstress Niia (pronounced NIGH-uh) quietly dropped her debut album, I, today (July 14th), amidst the blitzkrieg of releases (Mura Masa, Chaz French, Wizkid,Jay 305, French Montana, The Pollyseeds), via Atlantic Records. A soul-fused, 12-track album, it may be one of the better projects of the day.

As well as a collaboration with Jazmine Sullivan (on the album’s closer, “Sideline”), Niia was also joined by Compton’s Boogie on the hauntingly ethereal “California.” The track can be heard below.
