GoldLink Covers OutKast’s “Roses”

blame it on Patrick Glynn July 19, 2017

Goldlink stopped by the BBC Radio 1 studios recently alongside Hare Squead and Masego, whom he’s touring and promoting his At What Cost album with overseas before he comes back to the States for his North American tour.

While there, Goldlink took part in a pretty common BBC Radio tradition: putting his own spin on someone else’s song. The DMV rapper’s song of choice was OutKast‘s “Roses” — a pretty influential and memorable song for young adults like Goldlink and I. Hare Squead and Masego provided the instrumentation and back-up vocals while Goldlink handled André 3000’s singing parts.

Watch the cover above. Goldlink and the same crew also performed a medley of two At What Cost cuts, “Herside Story” and “Crew.”
