After being released from a Florida jail on March 29th, Kevin Gates was quickly sent to a Chicago jail to serve time for an outstanding warrant from a gun case in 2013. After pleading guilty to the charge of felony gun possession, he was sentenced to prison for 30 months. It now appears that Gates won’t be released from prison until at least late 2019.
However, that does not mean that his musical output will come to a halt as well. His wife, Dreka Gates, revealed that she working on a new project for her incarcerated husband which may see a release sometime in 2017. She has also released a single, “No Love,” which can be heard below.
