Frank Ocean Covers Steve Monite’s “Only You” During FYF Set

Frank Ocean‘s FYF Fest set went on with a breeze this weekend. (Brad Pitt showed up for some reason.) Frank was originally set to perform at the festival in 2015, but he suddenly cancelled, and Kanye West took his headlining set. This year alone, the Blonde curator had cancelled multiple festival appearances, including sets at Hangout Festival and Panorama, leaving this year’s FYF set in doubt.

He showed up and performed, though, rocking Blonde and Channel Orange cuts as well as recent singles like “Chanel” and “Biking.” He also covered a couple of songs during the set: The Jackson 5’s “Never Can Say Goodbye” and “Only You,” a song by Nigerian funk and disco artist Steve Monite.

The latter was filmed and thrown up on YouTube. It’s a pretty strict cover, with the modern synthesizers adding some extra life to the original.
