Rappers Doing Good: French Montana Helps Build Uganda Health Facility

I have nothing but praise for French Montana for this, and all of this came about because he literally watched a YouTube video.

See, French had come across a clip of children in Uganda grooving far better than the average backup dancer, and was compelled to seek them out for his video “Unforgettable.” Following his trip, he — with some help from The Weeknd, the MAMA HOPE Organization and the Global Citizen Organization — were able to build a health facility in the town where he discovered the children.

He shared the news via his Instagram page, which gives a brief tour of the in-the-works facility which be able to provide health care and services to the over 286,000 locals of the area once it is completed.

Like Rihanna, who helped build an oncology center in her native home of Barbados and established the Clara and Lionel Foundation Scholarship Program to assist students from Caribbean countries going to colleges in the States (and subsequently being named Harvard’s Humanitarian Of The Year for her efforts), this is an amazing and admirable achievement from French, and he deserves nothing but respect for his own efforts.
